What makes a perfect vacation? Be it solo, couple, or group an excellent accommodation completes your dream getaway. Cappadocia which lies in the Anatolian region of Turkey is a sweet escape anyone can dream of. Check out my article about Cappadocia here. Museum Hotel is perfectly situated in Uchisar, one of the well-known parts of the region. It is the best cave hotel in Cappadocia Turkey. To be honest, when I was checking on the hotel on the internet it gives you a perfect view of that sunny morning sky decorated with colorful hot air balloons but when I booked in on that December 2017 weather did not go as plan and there were no hot air balloons. So please do your researches if you want to spot that magical morning.
Although I did not witness that scene it did not disappoint me as Museum hotel still gave me that wonderful ambiance and completed my Cappadocia experience. Museum Hotel is a boutique hotel that is tailored for couples or solo that will give you a one of a kind Turkish hospitality. It is a unique cave hotel that presents you with the feeling of staying in a cave at the same time staying in a museum. The hotel’s interior was designed with artsy crafts and one of a kind antiques.
I was greeted by a friendly dog I just forgot the name. Checking in was quick. The hotel reception will not fail to welcome you with its signature “museum feels”.The hotel staff did a show around after check-in. From the restaurants to common places, you will see how beautifully this boutique hotel was designed. The hotel room was wow. They placed amenities such as Turkish sweets and a bottle of Champagne in the room. Even the room interior was decorated with old stuff that adds to that ambiance. The bed was too comfortable which made me feel lazy to go out.
The hotel room gives you a pretty good view of the Cappadocian valley. There is a certain spot in the room that was next to the window so you can relax and just have a feast of the eye. The bathroom too was astonishing. It was spotlessly clean. Amenities were of excellent quality. The bathroom was equipped with a bathtub facing the valley. So you can relax, sip your wine while having a great view.
What’s good in this hotel was that they don’t have 2 similar rooms that look alike so rooms and suites were unique in every way. Down the hallway, you will notice the adornments
One of the highlights of my stay here was the swimming pool.
It was wintertime and the heated swimming pool gives you a panoramic view of the valley. I felt like I own the hotel because no one was using the swimming pool at that time. Facing the swimming pool was the hotel bar and fireplace perfect at night.
Another common area wherein you can sit have chat with your friends or read books since they got a mini library was located on the second floor
The hotel’s ala carte restaurant Lil’ a restaurant is another thing. They served authentic Cappadocian style dishes, good wine, and has an intimate atmosphere. Hotel’s breakfast was impressive that it made up my Museum hotel experience. A good selection of cheeses and other buffet items. Plus live cooking in a Turkish way.
Overall, the entire stay was wonderful. Worth giving a stay. You can click here to see more. Truly, Cappadocia definitely should be on your bucket list and to complete that experience stay in the best cave hotel in Cappadocia Turkey.
